Matching Gifts Double, or Even Triple,

Your Gift to the Center!

Did you know that more than 25,000 corporations offer matching gift programs as a benefit of employment? If you work for one of these companies, you can double, or even triple, your gift to nonprofit organizations like the Center.

The process for matching gifts varies from company to company, but the basic premise is the same. You make a personal contribution to the Orange County Performing Arts Center and your company will match that gift, typically dollar-for-dollar. Some companies will even match 2:1 or more, tripling your donation.

In addition to helping the Center, this increased contribution will be reflected in your support level. If you make a $125 personal contribution, you become a Supporter Member and receive benefits accordingly. But if your company matches that gift, you become a $250 Sponsor Member and your benefits increase.

For example, Daniel, one of our current donors to the Center, has designated a payroll deduction for charity, which he allocates to the Center. He submits matching-gift paperwork to his employer, and it matches his annual contribution at a ratio of 1:1. This has enabled Daniel to move to a higher level of membership, but more importantly, the increased contribution helps the Center meet its goal of providing quality programming on our stages, as well as supporting education programming and free and low cost events that benefit everyone in the community.
