In addition to our regular pre-performance activities, young audiences will not only see an inspiring show, but will also have the opportunity to beautify the land around them. Expanding on the idea of one person making a world of difference, each child will be given the supplies and guidance (care of the Center's Green Team and the Huntington Beach Tree Society) to sow a Western Redbud seed, which they can then take home to plant in their own garden. Children will also help decorate our lobby by sharing how they plan to make their own difference in the world on leaf cutouts.

The play, based on the beloved fable and book by Jean Giono, is a unique blend of comedy and puppetry that tells the inspiring tale of a French shepherd that sets out with his dog to plant a forest and transform a barren wasteland. This uplifting and unforgettable story shows us the difference one man (and his dog!) can make to the world.
