Spring Blossoms - April 5, 2009 The closing concert of the season features three gems including a delightful Overture by JC Bach, the "London" Bach who encouraged 8 year-old Mozart to write his first symphony. The virtuoso violoncellist Ruslan Biryukov will be soloist for this concert performing Haydn's D major Concerto for Violoncello and orchestra. Mozart's first true symphonic masterpiece, Symphony No. 29 closes this unforgetable concert, performed exclusively on Sunday, April 5, 2009 at 3:00pm at the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall.
