Since Kermit and his divine Miss Piggy can't be here in person, the Center his holding contests for the Best Kermit and Best Miss Piggy Vocal Impersonators immediately before the screening of this Monday Movie Night. Prizes go to the best of both.

This is the story of a frog, a bear and a pig (portraying themselves are Kermit the Frog, Fozzie the Bear and Miss Piggy) on the road to Hollywood stardom. Kermit is persuaded by agent Dom DeLuise to pursue a career in Hollywood. Along the way, Kermit picks up Fozzie, Miss Piggy, Gonzo and a motley crew of other Muppets with similar aspirations. Meanwhile, Kermit must elude the grasp of a frog-leg restaurant magnate. Nominated for two Oscars.

Guests are encouraged to bring beach chairs or other easily portable items on which to sit, with set-up beginning at 5:30 p.m. Assorted candies, beverages and popcorn will be available for
purchase. The Newport Beach Film Festival will present a collection of short animated films prior to the main feature, which will begin at dusk. Guests may bring their own snacks and picnic suppers, though barbecues and similar food preparation will not be permitted.
