Part Time Customer Service Specialist
POSITION SUMMARY
This position requires an extensive amount of positive customer service interaction
on a daily basis. Therefore, we are looking for fun, enthusiastic and energetic
individuals who enjoy working with the public.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answer general information phone lines
- Provide show information to patrons
- Help patrons with theatre seat selection over the phone and box office
windows.
- Sell single and season tickets by phone and at the box office windows
using the Tessitura ticketing system.
- Process subscriptions renewal invoices, help with the upkeep of files
- General office tasks include but are not limited to faxing, restocking,
printing ticket orders, courtesy calls, and special projects as assigned.

- Cash handling

QUALIFICATIONS
- Basic computer knowledge in a windows environment and typing skills required
- Must be confident working with the public and have a pleasant demeanor
- Good customer service is a must
- Flexible schedule
- Excellent phone etiquette
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to stand/sit for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to perform repetitive motion tasks (e.g., stuffing envelopes, keying
in information on a computer, etc.)
OPERATION HOURS
- General office hours: 9:00 am to 6:00 pm with additional hours on performance
days
- Office is open 7-days a week and holidays, applicant must be available to
work weekends
- Weekly schedules range between 10 and 30 hours for part time
Starting pay for this position is $10/hour--non-negotiable.

BACKGROUND
The Orange County Performing Arts Center is one of the country's premier arts
organizations. Founded in 1986, the Center presents performance series in theater,
international dance, jazz and classical music, cabaret, independent bands,
and family programming to more than 500,000 people each year. Recognized as
a leader in arts education in Southern California, the Center serves nearly
400,000 students, teachers, and families with its innovative arts education
programs. In addition, the Center serves as the artistic home for three resident
companies: The Pacific Symphony, Philharmonic Society of Orange County, and
the Pacific Chorale.
