Tour Information
Discover the magnificence of Southern California's award-winning home for the performing arts. FREE public tours of the Orange County Performing Arts Center are now being offered twice a week. Tours include the Center's new Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall, Samueli Theater and Lawrence and Kristina Dodge Education Center at Segerstrom Center for the Arts, the community plaza with its towering "Connector" created by sculptor Richard Serra, as well as the original Segerstrom Hall.
The architectural grandeur envelops you as you hear about the unique design and acoustical features. In the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall you'll see the soaring tiered lobby with its award-winning lighting design, explore the concert hall's massive acoustical chambers, and stand beneath the towering William J. Gillespie Concert Organ. You'll go inside the intimate Samueli Theater where audiences enjoy everything from jazz and rock to cabaret, chamber music and family shows. In Segerstrom Hall, where audiences thrill to the world's greatest dance and ballet companies and cheer top Broadway shows, guests will learn about the inner-workings of the theater and visit backstage areas, including rehearsal and star dressing rooms and stand on the 8,500-square foot stage. All along the way, you'll encounter extraordinary works of art that grace the Center's campus.
All public tours are guided by members of The Center Docents. Separate tours of each hall, lasting approximately one hour, are available every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Dates, times and itineraries are subject to change due to certain load-in periods, rehearsals, or other special events. For groups of ten or more, please call in advance for special tour requests.
